This was also the year of HM The Queen's Diamond Jubilee 2012. Lee described himself as a country bumpkin in one of his TV interviews.

It has been arranged for my students to play after the year of HM The Queen's Diamond Jubilee 2012 and Olympics 2012 in honour of Kath Copeland and Sophie Hosking, gold medallists in the Women's Lightweight Double Sculls and Kath's look of amazement when they won!
